The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991requires that commercial building owners take certain considerations with any objects that project and hang from walls and ceilings. This includes wall mounted sconces, pendant lighting, and chandeliers. The two main considerations that must be adhered to are the following.
Any wall mounted object must project no further than 4 inches. (applicable for all objects placed between a 27" and an 80" height.)
Chandeliers, pendants or any other fixture that is ceiling mounted must be 80" or higher from the ground.
Unique Iron Lighting has the capacity to manufacture and/or modify many fixtures to meet these requirements.
